Boost Pin

Made out of hardened stainless steel to an accuracy less than 0.01 mm.

This boost pin allows the LDA mechanism inside the injection pump to add a higher level of fuel, contributing to a higher power output.

Boost Plate

The boost plate kit increases the range of the standard timing advance within the pump. The dynamic timing advance is a mechanism used to make the start of injection sooner as the RPM increases to give the Diesel time needed to properly combust. The extra timing advance from this spacer kit will help to burn fuel cleanly at higher RPM while keeping your static timing to standard spec, maintaining low RPM performance.

Lift Pump Spacer

This spacer allows the lift pump to operate in the middle of its range of travel.

The lift pump spacer will help lengthen the life span of the pump- The TDI pump was originally designed to have a spacer fitted but at some point during production the spacer was left out, possibly due to a cost saving exercise meaning the pump has to operate at the top end of its travel. Fitting of the spacer allows the pump to run in the mid range of its travel thus making it more reliable
