Mid silencer replacement pipes can help an engine to rev more freely at higher rpm's, and also help to bring out a really nice sound from the Td5 or Puma engine. The downside is that they create a lot of resonance (booming) within the cabin, which can be very uncomfortable on a long journey.
These manifolds have been specially treated by Zircotec. Being plasma sprayed in a ceramic thermal coating, which contains the heat from the exhaust, helping to prevent them from warping. The manifold also significantly reduces under bonnet temperatures, promoting better engine power. The price is for an outright purchase, although there will be a trade in allowance given if you wish to trade in your old Td5 exhaust manifold as an exchange unit.
